No buttons, no waiting on the hamster: the game speeds itself up. You start at 1×, and every time your score crosses another 250 points the track gains +0.2× speed — 1.2× at 250, 1.4× at 500, 1.6× at 750, 1.8× at 1,000, climbing gently up to 5× at 5,000 points. Seeds pour in faster and obstacles arrive quicker, so the longer a run lasts, the wilder it gets. The live wheel status above still comes from api.squeekchain.com/v1/status every few seconds, and in Auto it still sets the scene — bright sky while Squeektoshi spins, sleepy night while he naps — unless you've pinned Day or Night yourself.

A driving, racing-style tune made in the browser (no audio files) — kick, snare and hi-hats, a saw bass, chord stabs and a lead synth at 128 BPM. It starts when you start a run, pauses with the game, and stops when a run ends.

How to play

Sunflower seed — 10 pts. Chain them to build your combo (up to ×5).
Golden seed — 50 pts and +1 combo instantly. Rare, so lunge for it.
Pebble, puddle, toy block — dodge them. A hit costs a life and resets your combo. You get 3 lives. Every row of obstacles leaves one lane open — often the middle — so there's always a way through: spot the gap and swerve into it.
Distance scores too — and every 250 points the game automatically speeds up by +0.2× (up to ×5), so runs get faster and harder the better you do.
Coat colour — pick Golden, Cream, Chocolate, Silver, Snow or Berry from the coat picker. It changes instantly, even mid-run.
Sky — leave it on Auto to follow the live wheel (sun by day, moon by night), or pin Day or Night from the sky picker. The sky, sun/moon and track lighting switch instantly.

Just like the real cage, seeds are currency here. Every seed you collect also nudges your combo — miss the lane and the streak dies.

🎡 Speed that keeps climbing

The pace multiplier above isn't a button any more — it's your score. Every 250 points adds +0.2× speed automatically, up to ×5, while the live wheel feed still drives the status bar and block counter — and the sky too, while it's set to Auto.

🧱 Blocks keep coming

The block counter in the top bar is the projected Squeek block height from the same feed. Watch it tick over as the hamster's settled work completes each block.
